Nutritious, Cheap, Abundant, Quick to prepare and Tasty this sounds like the type of food that most people would kill to get their hands on. So why then aren’t more of us eating salads? Salads are the perfect accompaniment for most meals and can be enjoyed by everyone and yet If we order a salad we always get asked one of 2 questions…

Have you become a vegetarian?

No I am not on a diet and no I am most definatly not a Vegetarian after all what can be better with a juicy steak than a nice salad?

So why don’t people eat more salads?

Thats one of the questions we’ll attempt to answer here as well as giving you lots of reasons why you should be eating more salads. We will include section on nutrition, salad recipes, articles about vegetarianism and a whole lot more.

Before we go any frther lets get started with a Simple Salad with a nice vinaigrette dressing.

This should take less than 5 minutes to prepare and is the perfect accompaniment for most meals.

Simple Green Salad

3 heads of different types of lettuce
2-green onions, sliced
3-Tlbs olive oil
2-Tlbs red wine vinegar
1-tsp.dry yellow mustard
¼-tsp sea salt
¼-tsp cracked black pepper

Whisk the three tablespoons of olive oil, the two tablespoons of red wine vinegar and the one teaspoon of dry yellow mustard until they are well combined. Add the salad greens and toss until the salad greens are well coated with the vinaigrette.
